Huzzah! The conclusion to the laundry day saga! Still think the OG has gotta be my favorite in the series, but this one is great too. Feels like a nice harmony of your typical DNB stuff along with those beautiful piano melodies from the first set on the series.

The video is fun too. Gives it that extra dramatic weight, haha.

Quarl responds:

I got so much laundry done this month <3

Aw! I've been trying to figure out which tracks have been by which people for a while now, caus we only had Levc and Quarl in our little group chat for the game.

This one is really nice though, it's got a playful, cozy, right-before-bedtime storybook sort of feel to it that makes you wanna set out on a little adventure. Lovely job with this. :)

ConnorGrail responds:

Thank you! I really enjoyed making this, I'm happy to have contributed

I spotted myself in the thumbnail for this one and thought I should probably comment on it. :)

This one goes hard. The instruments have a crisp retro feel to them and the piano provides a grounded element to it too that helps balance it out nicely.

Quarl responds:

Ha, I was thinking there was no way you'd see that icon. I suppose your the only person that would have noticed it. I award you this invisible trophy that you can put under your pillow, it's for recognizing your face. DON'T PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE, IT WILL BREAK IF IT GETS TOO COLD, it has to go under your pillow for warmth <3

This is kind of a bop though tbh.

Quarl responds:

I've been keeping this track in my back pocket for over a decade. There's a reason I never deleted the song file, I'm a hoarder.

Haha, was that a cat yowl at like a minute in? You need to keep this washing machine series going after Jamuary, because it's something wonderful.

Quarl responds:

I have a chiptune patch I want to record for Pixelday :3

You were right, I really like this one. There's a through line of melancholy that ties the whole thing together, but I love all the odd little sounds that you get to meet along the way. It's a real road trip of a song.

Quarl responds:

I'm hitting a little melody stride right now and will probably stick to it for a second or two!

I'm still catching up on these, but this is definitely one of my favorites so far. The melody almost reminds me of windchimes in a way. It seems to sway back and forth, and the effect is truly soothing.

Quarl responds:

You'll like tomorrows track, "Melodies Arranged By Hand." I've been stressing for high action EDM genres but I needed another rest day and spent it working on melodic ambient stuff :)

LOVE. I feel bad that I forgot to listen to this until just now because your solo piano/keyboard stuff has always been some of my very favorite from you. For my money, there's no instrument better than a piano when it comes to interpreting emotional devastation.

Quarl responds:

Its only been a day, I didn't expect you to respond when I uploaded it last night :D

Hard agree, piano is a wonderful instrument for sads.

New song, yay! The jazzy stuff in the background adds a lot I think, especially that trumpet whenever it chimes in. Just an extra layer of "class", you know?

Quarl responds:

Gotta love Mihai. He's an old friend at this point and one of my only Patreon followers, bless his trumpet playing heart.

These lyrics are great, haha.

I write sad stories (with hope!) and then animate them in cute pastels to lull you into a false sense of security.
