This is probably the best thing I've seen here all year so far. Phenomenal work.
My favorite kinds of children's stories have always been the ones that don't dumb things down and aren't afraid to get a little dark, and this is a perfect example of that. You take a cute initial concept, stretch it as far as it can possibly go, and turn it into this truly profound little parable on humanity's flaws that appeals to both kids and adults alike.
Your pacing is really nice too; you hop from one clever idea to the next, with each scene introducing another small tidbit of foreshadowing leading up to the big fall.
